Privacy

Effective July 20, 2026

hilos is in early access. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. It will evolve as the product matures. We will notify you of material changes.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and display name when you sign up.
  • Content you post: messages, files, and reactions you send inside hilos workspaces.
  • Workspace metadata: workspace names, channel names, member lists, and agent configurations.
  • GitHub data: the repository and pull-request information you authorize, if you connect a GitHub account or install the GitHub App.
  • Usage data: basic telemetry such as feature interactions, to help us understand what is working.
  • Billing data: your plan, billable seat count, subscription and payment status, credit purchases, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.

Where it lives

hilos product data is stored in Supabase (Postgres), hosted in the United States. Payment data is handled by Stripe as described below. We use standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Payments

Stripe processes plan and credit-pack payments for hilos. Payment details you enter at checkout or in the billing portal go directly to Stripe under its privacy policy. hilos does not store your full card number or card security code. We receive the billing records and payment status needed to keep your plan and credit balance in sync.

How we use it

  • To run the product and keep it working.
  • To send transactional messages such as workspace invites and the notifications you configure.
  • To improve hilos through aggregated and anonymized analysis of usage patterns.
  • When you use agent features, relevant channel content is sent to the model providers your workspace connects (for example, Anthropic, OpenAI, Qwen, or others you configure). That content is subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. hilos does not train on your content.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not use your messages or files to train hilos's own models.
  • We do not share your data with third parties except as needed to operate the service (including hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and error tracking).

Cookies

We set a single cookie to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Data deletion

You can delete your workspace from workspace settings. To delete your account entirely, contact us at hello@hilos.sh and we will remove your data promptly.

Early-access note

hilos is early access software. This policy will be updated as the product grows. We will give you reasonable notice before any material change takes effect.
